South Park S10 Season 10 720p WEB-DL Uncensored COLOR FIXED


and now a bunch of (needed) babble ;)

I should start off by saying i was trying to collect up most of the recent seasons as either WEB-DL's or Bluray Rips in 720p resolution and i found some..
Problem was i noticed the colors were off really bad in Season 10 no matter what version of it i grabbed anywhere on the web..
I even checked the 1080p WEB-DL's people are sharing and they are broken too !
And yes i say BROKEN !
Because you can clearly see on every single non TV Rip on the internet that every episode from S10 has faded / washed out colors and i personally found it so distracting i couldn't even watch the shows :(
I could show samples but i am 100% confident people will be impressed with what i did :)
And if you all out there want to see the problem have a look at the title warning screen on your S10 files.. you will see it's grey where it's suppose to black LOL

I am assuming any S10 TV rips will not have this issue.. but i did not check them !
The source of these files are from group CTRLHD
But every variation of every web-dl torrent has this problem !

I hope these will replace the shitty episodes all over so feel free to re-post these or add them to your own torrent etc.
I considered doing the 1080p files first but i will hold off for now.
I might fix the 1080p files still or just upload the Program and scripts i used.
I can upload the Filters script for anyone who wants to do the 1080p's the exact same.

This was a HUGE pain in the ass to deal with :(
I did a LOT of testing and found an issue with some of the colors that reside on a specific plane. That meant fixing one color was screwing up another color even worse etc
So i did a hell of a lot of testing to find the ultimate balance :)

I used the current nightly build of Avidemux and two filters it comes with.
First i used the Contrast Filter to modify only the ChromaU plane.
Then i used the MPlayer eq2 Filter to fix up the color levels and brightness etc.
The audio was set to copy (no re-encoding)
The tricky part next was trying to match the video bitrate as close as possible to the original video's.
Sometimes i had to change the quality and re-encode over and over to get the correct end result (changing the CRF setting)

720p scene rules say use CRF 18 or 19 but that was giving me files about 177mb
And the orig files were all about 600mb each so i made sure to match or exceed slightly the bit-rate of the shows..
And as a template to match all the advanced x264 encoder settings i used the settings from group W4F from the recently released web-dl Netflix Rip show "Bojack Horseman" then i only changed the CRF setting to get the right bit-rate.

I tested them and they look and sound great to me :)
